This course is designed for people who have done some lead climbing and belaying and have done an Intro to Outdoor Rock Climbing course. This course will give you an insight to the world of trad climbing. We will look at a variety of trad gear and its correct use. You will get the opportunity to second some classic single pitch routes. Throughout the day we will look at all the different aspects involved in lead climbing. You will have plenty of opportunity to ask lots of questions and learn new skills. We can even get you on your way to trying your 1st lead climb. (With a safety rope)
During the day we will look at: abseiling, belaying, various climbing equipment. Learn about rock types and how to use and interpret guidebooks.
I normally run these days at Symonds Yat in the Wye Valley but also at Roaches in Staffordshire. I can even run it as part of a multi activity weekend if booked on one of our courses in Snowdonia.
