This course is for competent top rope climbers who are looking to progress onto the sharp end of the rope and learn to lead climb. You will cover lead belaying techniques, clipping and lowering off, physical and psychological preparations for leading, catching a falling climber and much more.
All equipment can be supplied. This course will run either in Worcester or Birmingham.

Having been climbing only a few months and being keen to progress I came to Craig for instruction for lead climbing with limited experience. Craig is an incredibly gifted instructor with an ability to tailor instruction with a client centred approach, enabling progress to occur at an individually suited pace . The environment he crafted for learning reiterated foremost his safety conscious ethic while retaining the enthusiasm and contagious excitement of climbing.
Instruction was defined by goals with agenda in a low key manner yet delivered with a passion and drive for success through achievement. Craig has a natural talent for being able to put people at ease, especially during practice of "taking a fall" and during assessment of competency. His style of instruction is clear and concise with a quiet and steady method.
I thoroughly enjoyed learning all aspects of the lead climbing course and highly recommend him for anyone keen to progress safely in a social and fun environment. I look forward to taking further courses with Craig.
